Wow, you really hate Jeff Koons! I can’t say that I am thrilled with his approach to art and the process (especially since he has over 100 employees at his studio who all punch a time clock, literally). I have to wonder if the ideas for the pieces are all “his” or a collaboration of ideas between himself and his employees. However, these giant steel balloon animals are really nice and would be difficult to make by yourself. The sculpture engages the viewer by provoking images of carnival mirrors and clowns tying balloon animals. For me I just want to see one in person. It makes me feel like a kid again which becomes more and more important the older I get.
