Every artist has a “tool chest” they rely on in creating and showing their work.  So, I am working to create a list of resources and tools that people find useful in creating their art.

What I need: I need you to send me a list of items that you find useful in creating and showing your work.  What are your favorite tools?  Do you have any resources that you rely on to get your work seen?  etc.

Whew! I hate upgrades but this one went about as smooth as I could ask for.  I really wanted to get on the latest system so that I could begin a new design.  This one has been up for almost a year now and it is time to freshen it up a bit.  The upgrade included a new backend for folks that have blogs here, a related posts feature to make it easier to browse through the work and a Community News section in the sidebar.

Please let me know if anything is wonky or if you just have a suggestion.  Thanks!

Due to the massive amounts of spam blogs (splogs) that have been registered lately, I have disabled the sign up feature.  I was spending much of my time fighting these things and after having to delete almost 700 of them, I have killed this feature.  The focus of this site isn’t to fight freakin’ spam!  I want to spend my time improving things here for current and future users. For those interested, I will still create a blog for you manually.  Just send me an email (showus@todayinart.com) and I will get you setup.   Sorry for the inconvience and it is a shame that the efforts of a few have caused this problem.

I had some personal matters to attend to and was unable to post for a few days. Posts will continue today.

Note: Some websites will require you to scroll down in the widget to complete. Basically lookout for a small scroll bar on the right of the widgetbox add tool.

Some folks have noticed that this little site has gained the attention of spammers, sweet!  Anyway, I have been looking into options for fighting this and will be implementing new security measures.  Please bare with me as I work to complete this and sorry for some random and irrelevant blogs that slip through.

So your not down with RSS or maybe you don’t know what that is. No worries, you can now subscribe to todayinart.com with your email account. If you sign up for the service you will receive an email on any day we update, which should be everyday. The new email subscription is in the sidebar under resources, or resource as it stands now.

I just finished the first of many themes that will be available for use on todayinart.com. todayinart.com - Dark is a simple theme that is, well dark. I know that some folks would rather not place work on white, so now you have black. I will continue developing these and listening for feedback. The next one in queue will be a neutral gray of some type.

If you have a theme or idea that you want to use please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
