Phantogram is Sarah Barthel (vocals, keyboards) and Josh Carter (vocals, guitars) and this is a live performance of Let Me Go on KEXP. Phantogram is currently touring Europe and will be in the U.S. later this spring. According to Wikipedia, the band’s name was infact inspired by the optical illusion called a phantogram. The band describes their sound as “street beat, psych pop,” but I describe it as awesome. You can learn more about Phantogram on their Virb site.
On a side note I always thought Virb was much cooler than Myspace and Facebook and wish they had taken off. Music discovery was also amazing there back in the day.
