15 Great Works of Art from Sculpture by the Sea 2010
November 10, 2010 by Rainey - metalsmithing, sculpture
Sculpture by the Sea is a large outdoor art exhibit, featuring a variety of sculpture and artists. Here are 15 of my favorites from this years exhibit.
The concept for Sculpture by the Sea was the culmination of many years thinking, where a new step in the thought process came up every year or so. Essentially the exhibition came from my wish to create a major free to the public arts event for Sydney.
— David Handley
This year’s exhibit features over 60 artists along Cottesloe Beach in Perth, Australia. The exhibit is free and will be wrapping up this weekend, but Sculpture by the Sea will return from March 4 to March 22, 2011. To see more of this year’s artwork, please visit the Sculpture by the Sea website. The image above was photographed by Jean-Jacques Halans.
