Centripetal Force - house paint, spray paint and pencil on 4 panels 60 x 60 in

Erik Otto does some amazing paintings that are linear, fluid and ripe with texture.  Oh yeah, he does some nice sculpture too.

Working to find peace in an existence that seems so upside down, I capture andpresent emotional moments, in hopes to connect with and relate to viewers whofeel a similar struggle.

My latest work is an observation of the human experience, continually informedby the pressures and demands of the outside world. Recurring themes ofseasons of change, self-fulfillment versus self-destruction, and living in the noware reinvented constantly in multiple forms, spanning from traditional paintingsto paper collages and scrap wood installations. Through the use of reclaimedmaterials, I am also expressing the personal satisfaction received from givingnew life to the discarded.
