Luminous Paintings by Randall Stoltzfus
August 19, 2011 by Rainey - digital, graffiti, painting, textiles
Drawing influence from American masters like Albert Pinkham Ryder, Randall Stoltzfus painstakingly paints works which focus on light and an optical effect that he calls a good accident. I really enjoy his work even without being able to see this luminescent effect through digital imagery.
Walker - Oil and gold leaf on panel, 12 inches x 24 inches
Pine - Oil on panel, 12 inches x 24 inches
Passing - Oil on linen, 46 inches x 74 inches
Constantine - oil on linen, 18 inches x 16 inches
Penumbra - Oil and palladium leaf on canvas, 60 inches x 96 inches
You can see much more of his artwork on sloweye.net
