Sculptures in Pain by Gehard Demetz
February 3, 2010 by Rainey - metalsmithing, sculpture
I was famous last night, wood, 158 x 75 x 28 cm, detail
I don’t know much about Gehard Demetz, but his sculptures are phenomenal. These wood sculptures are masterfully cut and Demetz allows voids in the wood to add to the pain reflected by his characters.
I am certainly going to be watching for new works from this great artist. Please checkout Gehard Demetz’s website and Galleria Rubin for more great work.
