As 2011 ends and we begin 2012, I want to reflect on the most read post of the last year. Here is a collection of the 20 most read posts written in 2011.

It has been a year since I first featured Marco Zamora and I wanted to check back in to see what he has been up to. Zamora creates large scale drawings, primarily with watercolor and ink.

Kostis Velonis creates sculpture, often times influenced from other places or works, and constructed from found objects, wood and other materials.

Alvaro Tapia Hidalgo has some of the most amazing illustration that I have seen in a while.  These illustrations deliver vivid color and gorgeous textures with a touch of dark “They Live” quirkiness.

Auryn Ink does a great job of simulating watercolor on paper and it a fun way to quickly experiment with various colors, brushes and more. I do wonder why the app is called Auryn Ink and not Auryn Watercolor though.

As the year comes to an end, I, like many, tend to reflect on the last year. One thing I enjoy is looking back to see what posts readers of Today in Art like most. The best way I have of doing this today is by looking at the most visited posts.
