This week’s song, The Music Scene is from Blockhead’s album, The Music Scene.  The video is also worth noting as the animation is pretty fantastic. 

Here is a great animated short by Louis Clichy.  I found the short on Drawn and had to put it up on the site.  This piece has a  simple look that I love and connect with. The complex camera angles and movement in the short are convincing and engaging.

I found this video to be very compelling especially with all of the advances being made in the fields of robotics. Andrew tells a story of a robot longing for something it can’t grasp.

This music video for Jemapur features some really nice animation work by Genki Ito.  The song in the video is Clarte.

Allow me to geek out for a moment as I highlight some cool drawing/animation tool concepts.  The video below demonstrates some possibilities on a smart board.   While the example itself is no artistic wonder, it does exhibit ways we may be able to interact with digital tools in the near future.
