I am absolutely loving the paintings of Conor Harrington.  Living somewhere between street art and more “traditional” painting, Harrington’s artwork combines character and controlled styles from the 17th-18th centuries with vibrant color and free-flowing movement found in the street art of today.  

Martin Heuwold aka MEGX, has a knack for transforming uninteresting or abandoned urban structures into something spectacular.  First up are some installations where MEGX transforms vacant storefronts into an expression on the opposite nature of vacant (dead) and occupied (living) storefronts.

So what would the dictionary look like if the definition for each word was replaced with the first image result from Google?  Felix Heyes and Ben West find out in their latest project, Google.

Here are some beautiful, energetic illustrations by Evgeny Parfenov.  You may have seen his work before in magazines like Wired, Rolling Stone or Newsweek. Parfenov uses vivid shapes and sometimes bold, energetic line to illustrate his subject.

Sandra Dieckmann melds color, texture and pattern beautifully into to each of her illustrations. I especially enjoy how well she mixes organic textures and geometric shapes each piece.
