These drawings are created by an artist known as Mr. Frivolous. Armed with pencil and felt pens, Mr. Frivolous creates fantastic portraits of people surrounded by phrases which the person may be saying or thinking.
So where do I begin with Asheville, North Carolina’s RBTS WIN? I guess I can start by saying they are (expletive-ing) AMAZING!!!! I had the privilege of playing with them not too long ago. I was already into what they were doing before, then after seeing them do what they do live solidified it for me.
Kate MacDowell uses her artwork to comment on the beauty of our world and how we as humans appreciate and desire this beauty. Contrasting to this is our desire for a convenient and easy lifestyle which impacts the beauty of the world around us. MacDowell crafts these beautifully and intricately detailed works in porcelain.
This looks like an inspiring story and an awesome foundation. The Not Impossible Foundation is working to create solutions for impossible challenges. The EyeWriter is the first of these challenges and they are working with TEMPT to develop the technology.
The Last Names is comprised of Justin Rice and his wife Darbie Rice (Nowatka). Justin, also a founding member of Bishop Allen, is notable for his roles in a few indie films such as Harmony and Me, Let Them Chirp Awhile, and my personal favorite Mutual Appreciation, among others. Darbie is also a member of Bishop Allen, contributing vocals to some of their records as well as their live shows.
